Young Moths

So, here I sit, several months into this endeavor we call Media Moths. The goal was to have the site at full operation back in October. However, at some point it hit a snag or two: work, family, sleep. But finally, the site is once again coming together. We've asked for guest contributions to flesh out Zack's and my own work, so hopefully some people will answer the call with some reviews or articles. It'll be tough, no doubt, not only posting my own stuff, but guest contributions as well, but it'll be worth it.

The guest contributions aren't just for the site's benefits; hopefully it'll spark people's creative sides, and also shine light on other peoples' hard work. For example, we're hoping Ben Rowland of The Consuminator blog will throw us a bone with one of his excellent articles/reviews. We're also hoping to get some contributions from Matt of Station456 in the future.

What will happen from here on out is anyone's guess. I'm hoping it'll be some measure of success. Will it be the next IGN? I highly doubt it. But to be honest, I don't really want it to be. I'd much rather the site grow to be a part of our small community. To accomplish this, I'm hoping on integrating some aspects of the YouTube gaming community into the site. It's already affiliated with PeteDorr's Pete's Game Room Forum. I'm currently planning on adding some channel overviews, profiles, and interviews for popular and upandcoming YouTubers in the gaming community, though at the moment this is solely a side project, and probably won't see a full launch for a while.

For now, just keep an eye on the site. Follow us on Twitter and subscribe to us on YouTube (link to follow) for updates and such.

Here's to a bright future for us little moths!
